On Sunday, June 14, 2020, at approximately 4:45 AM. Deputy Russell Davis responded to the Sinclair gas station located at Hwy 99 and I40 for a reported armed robbery that had just occurred.

Deputy Davis learned that a female entered the store and presented an invalid credit card. Investigator Thom Wood along with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the vehicle where they located clothing which had been worn during the Sinclair Robbery.

A few days after investigator Wood received more information which led to a second search warrant for the vehicle where the firearm used during the robberies was located.
